Na minha opinião pessoal (adoro esta expressão), os filmes e os livros
são as maiores fontes de inspiração para querer visitar, conhecer e
experimentar novos destinos. Este Verão fui a São Tomé,
confesso que li o Equador em 3 dias e não foi por isso que decidi visitar as
ilhas, mas uma coisa é certa, eu tinha uma ideia formada sobre o que ia
encontrar isso tinha sem dúvida alguma. Era uma ideia romantizada, mas de
qualquer forma, era uma imagem só minha e que como qualquer filme adaptado de
um livro, tanto poderia corresponder às expectativas como simplesmente
defraudar completamente.
Lost in Translation (O Amor É um Lugar Estranho) é um
filme de 2003, de Sofia Coppola, que tenho sempre na memória quando me
perguntam por filmes de referência, filmes de que gosto.
O Japão, sem dúvida alguma, está
na minha lista de viagens a fazer. A forma como este filme mostra Tokyo é qualquer coisa única e muito pessoal e que cada um sente de
maneira diferente.

In my personal opinion (I love that expression), movies and books are the greatest sources of inspiration to visit, learn and experience new destinations. This summer I went to S. Tomé, I confess that I read the Equator in three days and was not because of that I decided to visit the islands, but one thing is certain, I had formed an idea about what was going to find it had, with no doubt. It was a romantic idea, but either way, it was just my image and like any film adaptation of a book, so it could meet the expectations or as simply cheating completely.

Japan certainly is on my list of trips to do. The way this film shows Tokyo is something unique and very personal and each one feels differently.
