Lindo.

O Verão já começa a espreitar e faz-me lembrar XEL-HÁ.

Our first OUT together was to Mexico, Riviera Maya. Beautiful.

The summer is starting to appear and reminds me of Xel-Ha. I'll never forget the day we went to this natural theme park, which is nothing but a large aquarium. The entrance gives you the bracelet with access to almost everything, just some activities carry an additional cost.

It was here that I did snorkeling and swim with the dolphins for the first time. They have a resting area with hammocks and of course gave a big tumble while trying to lie down. The fish swin around us ...

The park is wonderful and there are no words to describe it. I leave with you some videos and photos. If going to Mexico does not miss visiting one of these parks, you MUST. It's an unique experience.

Mantiveram a Adega.

A few months ago we went for the weekend here, Monte da Rosada. It is in Arcos, Estremoz, Alentejo. It was great.
Let me tell you
what I liked most, the rest you can find in the internet and I recommend a stay.
The hostel is full of Alentejo' references. I loved the rooms with typical fireplaces and objects. They kept the cellar/winery. It has a small garden full of shadows and banks to relax, and a little chapel that is a treat.
They have a restaurant for guests which is great since we have a child and didn't need to go out to dinner. There isn't a lot of menu choices, only have one choice of fish and meat daily. The pool is great, big and has sun every day.
In short, we arrived and we spent the weekend relaxing without leave the place.
It may seem that is not very big but there are many details to discover ...

To learn languages online completely FREE: http://www.busuu.com/

Besides ... I love the lessons... are very well made...and now it has a mode of travel courses where you learn the basics. And you can practice language skills with other members of the busuu community. Just one catch... Portuguese is Brazilian Portuguese which sometimes does not help much.

Besides the German I'm doing "vacations classes" of Italian.

Grazie... Paula

VOA

In one week-end we went for a little walk in Chiado, Lisbon. It has to be really a little walk, because the kid get's tired very fast.
We found this little shop. We stayed there a long time to admire all (I stayed there a long time to see everything). The store has a lounge space upstairs. I loved the exhibitors that are wooden boxes with descriptions written in chalk on a blackboard

O primeiro OUT | My first OUT

E assim fomos nós a Greenwich passar a noite.

It was the year 1994. Fresh from turning 18, decided to do an exchange program for students, chose the United States and California happened to me. Don't thinking about Baywatch, because California is larger than Portugal and I went to Cottonwood, north and countryside. But that is for another post.
(Here I go open the album)

I had never left the country, well in fact I had gone to Santiago de Compostela once. But outside of that time, had never left Portugal. So the first time I took an eight hours plane trip to New York.

It says here in my plane ticket: September 3, Tap Flight 312, John F Kennedy destination, not smoking (not even remember that once there were smoking and non smoking on airplanes); boarding time 13:15.
We were a group of 24 (or take a little more, now do not feel like counting all in the photos), all direct to NY. Some had other destination flights, 9 stayed  in NY to catch the flight next day. From what I remember from all the excitement was from Ana. Ana was from Alentejo, full of charisma. She was more elated that all together, wanted to keep all souvenirs from the airplane, nor did she eat to stay with the box and cutlery. Ana was one of nine in New York.

On arriving at JFK everything was big, in fact this was our comment. The airport was huge and looked like a real city full of crossings roads and bridges. All cars were huge, the bus for the connections between terminals, the trains for the same purpose, the limos were ernormes, and the jeeps. Everything was big.
The hotel where we stayed was in Queens, I see in my album here on the card: Metropole Hotel.

They left us there and we decided to go for a ride in NY, so we went at the lobby, we asked for a cab. We were outside waiting for it ... After a while two about 2
limousines stoped. Another few seconds ater and the driver ask us if we had call for taxis. We looked at each other and we said yes, we had requested for TAXIS, such as the yellow cabs. They laughed and said that was the cabs ...  their cab company was just limousines. And so we went to Greenwich at night.

NY really has it all, and who had never gone anywhere to see the police riding in traffic, tattoo artists in the streets, restaurants without walls, people skating in the middle of traffic ...

For the first OUT is not bad? And we went to the top of the Twin Towers ...

A primeira | The first

Hoje temos a internet.

By the time there was no digital camera (yes I am from the time of the films) I did a few fancy photo albums from my travels (as shown). I kept everything, tickets, brochures, maps, business cards, etc.. Carried over a pound of paper in return. Arriving home, sent to reveal the rollers and then began to make the albums. It had to be on file and had to be with glue sheets, which was to stick the small cards... And I still have it, but as you can see it's beginnig to turn yellow and there is no more glue. Inside are my memories. I open an album and remember things that I no longer remembered. And plus, many of my albums were used by friends to plan other trips.

Now looking at them, seem obsolete, old and a big wast of paper. Today we have the internet. With a click we go anywhere in the world, we plan any trip, we walked the streets of New York without leaving home. My reason for this blog is to put here what all the albums have. So I'll take one, open and start it...
